Eine Funkbox vor dem Funkhaus – eine Hommage an das, was dort einmal war! Für 30 Stunden poppt HOT BOX ON AIR als Treffpunkt und Sendestation auf. LIVE vor Ort und ON AIR entsteht ein hybrider Ort mit kulinarischen Interventionen, Workshops, Gesprächen und Performances.
Es geht um das Zusammenkommen und das gemeinsam Weiterdenken – um den Würstelstand und um Demokratie, um das Gastgeben und um das Klima. Kurz gesagt: es geht um die Wurscht!
Das HOT BOX BUILDING wurde im Rahmen der Kulturhauptstadt Europas Bad Ischl Salzkammergut 2024 konzipiert. Konzept: Wiener Würstelstand – Eine Versuchsanordnung – nach einer Idee von Clemens Bauder, friendship.is und Letitia Lehner.

A radio box in front of the Funkhaus – a homage to what once was! For 30 hours, HOT BOX ON AIR pops up as a meeting point and broadcasting station. Live on-site and on air, a hybrid space emerges with culinary interventions, workshops, conversations, and performances.
It's about coming together and thinking forward – about the Würstelstand and democracy, about hosting and the climate. In short: it's about the sausage!
The HOT BOX BUILDING was conceived as part of the European Capital of Culture Bad Ischl Salzkammergut 2024. Concept: Wiener Würstelstand – Eine Versuchsanordnung – an idea by Clemens Bauder, friendship.is and Letitia Lehner.
