Performance with Victor Ruiz Colomer

As part of his residency, Víctor Ruiz Colomer presents a live performance of a script bringing together his ongoing research into illumination, projection, and energy systems.

The performance expands on recent lighting works presented at CC Can Felipa (Barcelona) and Cibrián (Donostia–San Sebastián), as well as his ongoing collaboration with Élise Moreau and noela covelo velasco for Aplauso, Vicio.

Developed in dialogue with research conducted alongside Carmen Lael Hines on Friedensreich Hundertwasser’s Spittelau Waste Incineration Plant in Vienna, the work explores how systems of energy production and distribution can also operate as systems of visual representation, architecture, and cultural mediation.
